BR-CO-07: Line discount reason code and text must match

In short

BR-CO-07 means the reason code and the reason text of a line discount describe different things. Fix it on that line by making the text match the code, or removing the one that is wrong.

On this page

What it means

A discount on one invoice line has a reason code (BT-140) and a reason in words (BT-139) that describe different kinds of discount.

Why it matters

The recipient books the line discount by its code; a contradicting text makes it unclear what was discounted.

How to fix it

On that line, make the discount text match the code, or remove whichever of the two is wrong.

The rule as published

Invoice line allowance reason code (BT-140) and Invoice line allowance reason (BT-139) shall indicate the same type of allowance reason.

Business terms: BT-139, BT-140
