BR-CL-24: Attachments must be PDF, PNG, JPEG, CSV, XLSX or ODS

In short

BR-CL-24 means an attached document (BT-125) has a file type that is not allowed. Convert the attachment to PDF (or to one of the other allowed types) before attaching it, and export again.

On this page

What it means

Every document embedded in the invoice (BT-125) must declare one of the allowed MIME types: application/pdf, image/png, image/jpeg, text/csv, application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.spreadsheetml.sheet (XLSX) or application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.spreadsheet (ODS). Word files, ZIP archives and XML attachments are not allowed.

Why it matters

Codes are read by software, not by people. A value outside the agreed code list cannot be interpreted, so the recipient's system rejects the invoice even when the value looks sensible to a person.

How to fix it

Convert the attachment to PDF (or to one of the other allowed types) before attaching it, and export again. If the file type is right but the declared type is wrong, correct the mimeCode attribute, for example mimeCode="application/pdf" for a PDF.

The rule as published

For Mime code in attribute use MIMEMediaType.
