BR-06: Seller name is required

In short

BR-06 means the seller's name (BT-27) is missing. Fill in your company name in the company or sender settings of your invoicing software and export again.

On this page

What it means

Every invoice must contain the seller's name (BT-27). It is your full registered business name as the seller.

Why it matters

VAT law requires an invoice to identify both parties, and the recipient's software uses these details to match the invoice to a supplier or customer. An invoice that fails this rule is rejected as incomplete.

How to fix it

Fill in your company name in the company or sender settings of your invoicing software and export again. Use the registered name, as it appears in the trade register or on your VAT registration.

The rule as published

An Invoice shall contain the Seller name (BT-27).

Business terms: BT-27
