BR-RO-L201: Seller name must be 200 characters or fewer

In short

Fatal: fails the selected checks.

BR-RO-L201 means the seller's name (BT-27) is longer than 200 characters. Fix it by entering only the registered name of the seller in that field.

What it means

The seller's name (BT-27) may be at most 200 characters in the Romanian rule set for RO e-Factura (CIUS-RO). In the UBL file this is RegistrationName in the seller's legal entity. Leading and trailing spaces are ignored and repeated spaces count once.

Why it matters

The seller's name says who issued the invoice and is what the buyer books it against. This is a fatal rule, so RO e-Factura rejects the invoice and you have to send a corrected file.

How to fix it

Open your own company details in your invoicing software and check the company name field. Remove anything that is not the name, such as an address, a slogan or a registration number. If the registered name really is longer than 200 characters, use the closest short form that identifies the company.

The rule as published

Numarul maxim permis de caractere pentru Numele Vanzatorului (BT-27) este 200. #The allowed maximum number of characters for the Seller name (BT-27) is 200.

Business terms: BT-27
