What it means
The rule checks the seller's contact (cac:AccountingSupplierParty/cac:Party/cac:Contact) and fails when it holds a cbc:ID, a code or number that identifies the contact. EN 16931 describes the seller contact (BG-6) with three fields only: the contact name (BT-41), the telephone number (BT-42) and the email address (BT-43).
Why it matters
This is only a warning, so the invoice is still accepted. The recipient's software reads the name, telephone number and email address of the contact. A contact identifier has no place in the standard and is ignored.
How to fix it
Remove cbc:ID from cac:Contact under the seller party. Check that the name (cbc:Name), the telephone number (cbc:Telephone) and the email address (cbc:ElectronicMail) are still there. If your invoicing software exports a contact number or code, switch that field off or leave it empty. It is worth fixing when you build the XML yourself or want a file with no warnings.
