What it means
When the seller and the buyer are both in Germany and the payment means type code (BT-81) is 30 (bank transfer) or 58 (SEPA bank transfer), the invoice must contain the bank transfer details (BG-17). The check looks for the payee's bank account block inside that payment instruction. That block normally holds the payment account identifier (BT-84), which is the IBAN.
Why it matters
The code tells the buyer to pay by bank transfer, but without an account number there is nowhere to send the money. The buyer's software cannot prepare the payment, so the invoice is rejected.
How to fix it
Open the payment details of the invoice in your invoicing software and enter the IBAN of the account you want to be paid into. The account holder name and BIC can be added too, but this rule only needs the account block to exist. If you do not want to be paid by bank transfer, change the payment method to the one that applies and fill in its details instead.
