What it means
The settlement section (ApplicableHeaderTradeSettlement) should not contain a DuePayableAmount of its own. The amount due for payment (BT-115) belongs inside the totals block (SpecifiedTradeSettlementHeaderMonetarySummation), and that one is not affected by this rule.
Why it matters
This is a warning, so the file is still accepted. Software that reads EN 16931 takes the amount due from the totals block and ignores a value placed anywhere else. If the two values differ, the person reading the file may not know which one is right.
How to fix it
Look in the settlement section of the file for a DuePayableAmount outside the totals block and delete it. Do not remove the one in the totals block, because that is the amount due the buyer pays. If your invoicing software writes the file, report it to the vendor, because a correct export puts the amount due only in the totals.
