What it means
In a CII file, the seller's contact (BG-6) sits in DefinedTradeContact. EN 16931 has room there for a contact name (BT-41), a phone number (BT-42) and an email address (BT-43). This rule warns when the contact also has an ID element.
Why it matters
The invoice is still accepted. The standard has no field for a contact ID, so the buyer's software has nowhere to put it and will normally ignore it. It does not help the buyer, and it makes the file differ from the standard.
How to fix it
Check the seller's contact in your invoicing software. The ID usually comes from an internal number, such as an employee or contact number, that the export copies into the file. Clear that field or switch that export option off. If the buyer needs the number, put it in the invoice note instead.
