Warning

CII-SR-207: Leave the line total including taxes out of invoice lines

In short

Warning: worth checking.

CII-SR-207 means a line contains a NetIncludingTaxesLineTotalAmount element, a line total including taxes that EN 16931 does not use. The invoice is still accepted, and you clear the warning by deleting the element from the line.

On this page

What it means

The settlement section of each line (BG-25) must not contain NetIncludingTaxesLineTotalAmount, an amount for the line including taxes. The line amount excluding VAT (BT-131) goes in LineTotalAmount.

Why it matters

This is a warning, so the invoice is still accepted. The recipient takes VAT from the VAT rate and the VAT breakdown, so a line total including VAT is not read. It is worth removing so the file holds only amounts the standard defines.

How to fix it

Delete NetIncludingTaxesLineTotalAmount from each line and keep LineTotalAmount with the amount excluding VAT. If your invoicing software adds it, look for an output setting such as EN 16931, XRechnung or the Factur-X EN 16931 profile. Extended or custom profiles tend to add elements like this.
