Fatal

BR-RO-L153: Tax representative address line 1 must be 150 characters or fewer

In short

Fatal: fails the selected checks.

BR-RO-L153 means the first address line of the seller's tax representative (BT-64) is longer than 150 characters. Fix it by keeping only the street and number on that line, or by removing the tax representative if the seller has none.

What it means

The first address line of the seller's tax representative (BT-64), usually the street and number, may be at most 150 characters in the Romanian rule set for RO e-Factura (CIUS-RO). In the UBL file this is StreetName in the postal address of the tax representative. Leading and trailing spaces are ignored and repeated spaces count once.

Why it matters

The tax representative is the party that acts for the seller on VAT matters. This is a fatal rule, so RO e-Factura rejects the invoice and you have to send a corrected file.

How to fix it

Most sellers have no tax representative, so first check whether this block should be on the invoice at all. If it should, open its address in your invoicing software and keep only the street and number in the first line. Move extra details to the second address line (BT-65) and put the city and post code in their own fields.

The rule as published

Numarul maxim permis de caractere pentru Adresa reprezentantului fiscal - Linia 1 (BT-64) este 150. #The allowed maximum number of characters for the Tax representative address line 1 (BT-64) is 150.

Business terms: BT-64
