What it means
The invoice issue date (BT-2) must be a valid date with a year from 2000 to 2099. The rule text names the format YYYYMMDD, which is year, then month, then day. In UBL it is cbc:IssueDate. The error message quotes the value it found.
Why it matters
The issue date is what the buyer, the platforms and the tax authority use to date the invoice, and it usually starts the payment term. A date with an impossible year is almost always a typing mistake, so the invoice is rejected instead of being passed on.
How to fix it
Open the invoice and check the invoice date, year first. A slip such as 2205 instead of 2025, or a placeholder year like 1900 or 0001 left in by the software, is the usual cause. Correct it to the real date and export the invoice again. If the date looks right on screen but the file is wrong, ask your software supplier which date format it exports.
