What it means
The invoice has at least one line with a parent line identifier (ParentLineID), which is how CII expresses lines nested under other lines (sub invoice lines). XRechnung does not support this structure. The check fails if ParentLineID appears anywhere in the file. For UBL, the extension has its own sub invoice line rules, such as BR-DEX-02 and BR-DEX-03.
Why it matters
This is a warning, so the file is not rejected. XRechnung does not say what a receiving system should do with nested lines, so the recipient may ignore the link between them or read them wrongly.
How to fix it
Remove the parent line link so that every line stands on its own. In your invoicing software, look for an option for sub items, sub positions or line groups and turn it off, or flatten the lines. Afterwards check the invoice totals, so that no amount is counted twice or lost.
The rule as published
This CII file might use the concept of Sub Invoice Lines. However XRechnung does not support this. Where this rule applies
| Rule set | Version |
|---|---|
| XRechnung 3.0 (CII) | 3.0.2 |
