On this page

What it means

A charge on one invoice line, for example a packaging or handling fee for that item, has an amount (BT-141) with more than two digits after the decimal point. Digits are counted as written in the file, so 2.500 fails even though it equals 2.5. Charges on the whole invoice are checked by BR-DEC-RO-05. It covers invoice lines and credit note lines.

Why it matters

The line charge is added to the line amount. The Romanian CIUS-RO rules count more than two decimals as a fatal error, so the file is rejected.

How to fix it

On the line named in the error, round the charge amount to two decimals. If the charge is a percentage of the line, round the result of that calculation. In the XML it is the Amount of the AllowanceCharge inside the InvoiceLine (or CreditNoteLine), with ChargeIndicator set to true. Afterwards check that the line amount (BT-131) still matches.

The rule as published

Numarul maxim permis de zecimale pentru Valoarea taxei suplimentare la linia facturii (BT-141) este 2. #The allowed maximum number of decimals for the Invoice line charge amount (BT-141) is 2.

Business terms: BT-141
