BR-DEC-RO-15: VAT total in the accounting currency: two decimals at most

In short

Fatal: fails the selected checks.

BR-DEC-RO-15 means the VAT total in the VAT accounting currency (BT-111) has more than two decimals. Fix it by rounding that converted VAT amount to two decimals.

On this page

What it means

When the invoice also states its VAT in a second currency, the VAT accounting currency (BT-6), the total VAT in that currency (BT-111) is written with more than two digits after the decimal point. Digits are counted as written in the file, so 476.8932 fails. The check only runs when such a VAT total exists.

Why it matters

This is a fatal error in the Romanian CIUS-RO rules, so the file is rejected. The converted VAT total has to be a clean two-decimal figure like every other amount in the invoice.

How to fix it

Convert the total VAT to the accounting currency with your exchange rate, then round the result to two decimals before it goes into the file. A conversion usually produces more decimals than that, which is the typical cause of this error. In the XML it is the TaxAmount of the TaxTotal whose currencyID is the VAT accounting currency (TaxCurrencyCode).

The rule as published

Numarul maxim permis de zecimale pentru Valoarea TVA totala a facturii în moneda de contabilizare (BT-111) este 2. #The allowed maximum number of decimals for the Invoice total VAT amount in accounting currency (BT-111) is 2.

Business terms: BT-111
