In short

See supported XRechnung, ZUGFeRD, Factur-X, Peppol, UBL and CII files as clear invoices, and save them as PDFs. Free, and the file stays on your device. Free.

Klarbon opens a Spanish Norma 43 bank statement file and shows the bank, the account, the period, the opening and closing balances, the number of transactions and the first entries, and checks that the balances add up. Reading is in beta and the preview is free within the daily limit. Paid exports are available separately; Klarbon does not import transactions into your software or send anything to your bank.

What is a Norma 43 file?

It is the current account statement file that Spanish banks provide, defined in the Cuaderno 43 of June 2012 (in Spanish). It is also called AEB 43 or Cuaderno 43. It is plain text in fixed 80-character records with no separators, which is why it looks like a wall of digits in a text editor. The specification describes monthly delivery or daily delivery when agreed with the customer. More in what is Norma 43.

How do I open it?

  1. Download the file from your online banking. It usually ends in .txt or .n43; Klarbon recognises it from its content.
  2. Drop it on Klarbon or choose it.
  3. Confirm the century for the file's two-digit years when asked. Klarbon reads the account header, each transaction and the account end record.
  4. You see the summary and whether the balances match.

A synthetic example: the October file of "Talleres Moncayo, S.L." opens with an opening balance of EUR 8,420.15, 46 transactions and a closing balance of EUR 10,844.75. The preview shows the first five transactions and the balance difference.

What will I see?

Item Where it comes from
Bank and account account header record (11)
Period, opening balance and currency account header record (11)
Transactions: dates, concept and amount main transaction records (22) and additional concept records (23)
Debit and credit totals, closing balance account end record (33)

The preview lists the first five transactions in detail. The summary counts them all.

What does it check?

That the opening balance plus the credits and minus the debits equals the closing balance. A missing transaction can cause a difference, while a truncated or malformed file may fail to read. Opposite errors can cancel out, so a zero difference does not prove every entry is right. The result is in the account currency and is an arithmetic check, not a confirmation from the bank.

What does it not do?

The free preview reads the file without changing the original. Paid conversion of supported structured bank files is available separately, for one credit per started 500 transactions. Klarbon does not import transactions into your software or send anything to your bank. To see which other statement files Klarbon reads, see supported bank statement files.

What happens to my file?

Unlike the invoice viewer, statement files are read on Klarbon's servers. The file is processed during the request and then deleted; neither the file nor its transactions are kept. See what happens to your files.

How much does it cost?

Reading a file is free: 10 reads a day without an account and 30 with a free account. See prices.
